🎯 Why DepEd Changed It
According to Department of Education, the new system aims to:
- Improve learning time
- Reduce class disruptions
- Lessen teacher workload
- Strengthen the ARAL Program
- Help students recover learning gaps
- Improve fair and quality education
📌 Important Note
Private schools and colleges with basic education may also adopt the three-term calendar if they follow required class days and opening schedules.
💡 My Honest Take
This is a major change from the usual quarter system. If implemented well, it may help students focus better and reduce rushed lessons.
